What are the characteristics of a motorcycle?

Motorcycles generally have very high engine power outputs for their weight. The fact they don't have a full enclosure for the rider and passenger (like a car) means they're much smaller and lighter. At the same time, they generally use low-torque, high-revving engine designs, which can make a lot of peak horsepower.
